HIGHESTQUALITYWAKEPARKFEATURES

Wakeboard Campus Collab

It’s no secret that getting started in wakeboarding isn’t usually a smooth or straightforward process for beginners. Often, there’s no clear progression, and somewhere between confidently riding laps and tackling intimidating features, motivation tends to fade sooner or later.

Last year alone, only 29–34% of the features we sold were suitable for beginners, even though beginners—at 42–48%—make up a significant portion of every wake park’s target audience.

So if we fail to get beginners excited about the sport through quick successes, we risk losing our greatest revenue and growth potential.

For this reason, we’ve teamed up with the wakeboarding coaching platform “Wakeboard Campus” to develop a new standard for beginner features. Each feature has been specifically designed for first-time attempts and quick successes without fear.

Building confidence on the water requires a structured, intuitive progression path rather than forcing riders straight onto intimidating obstacles. By starting on wide, flat surfaces with low entry heights, beginners can learn basic sliding techniques without the fear of catching an edge. From there, moderate angles and forgiving landings allow riders to master control and balance before advancing to higher, narrower rails. This logical step-by-step setup ensures that every rider can safely level up their skills at their own pace, turning hesitant first attempts into long-term passion and commitment.

“Aren’t there already enough beginner features at most lakes?”

To be honest: No, actually there aren’t.

The wakeboard scene is growing rapidly, with new beginners stepping onto the dock every single day, eager to take their riding to the next level. If we want our sport to keep thriving, we need to make feature riding as accessible, safe, and inviting as possible.

Progression Starts with Confidence

The step from riding laps to hitting a first feature can be intimidating. Together with Wakeboard Campus coaches Nico von Lerchenfeld and Benny Jahnke, we developed a new approach to beginner features built around confidence, control and quick success.

Wide surfaces, low entry heights and forgiving shapes create a clear progression path that helps riders learn at their own pace. The goal is simple: make feature riding more accessible, more rewarding and more fun from the very first attempt.
